Miami Uses Big Runs To Beat UBOXFORD, OH - Miami University used a big run to open each half of play against the University at Buffalo men's basketball team and cruised to a 74-54 victory in Mid-American Conference action. The game opened up with an 11-0 run by the RedHawks as Miami jumped out to a quick lead. UB didn't score until the 16:02 mark on a three-pointer by Damien Foster (Buffalo, NY/Traditional). After UB cut the lead to seven points, 18-11, Miami again used a big run, this time a 10-0 spurt to increase the lead. The Bulls went over five minutes without a point in that stretch. Anthony Taylor and Refiloe Lethunya scored all ten points for Miami in that run with Taylor hitting two three-pointers as the RedHawks took a 36-21 lead going into halftime. The second half started out similar to the first as Miami came out strong and used a 10-3 run to open the half and lead by as many as 21 points, 46-25, with 16 minutes to play. The Bulls fought back and made a run of their own, holding Miami scoreless for nearly four minutes and cutting the lead to 14 points, 49-35, with 10:39 remaining in the game. Miami then expanded on their lead before a three-pointer by Jon Kleidon (Oak Forest, IL/River Forest) with just under seven minutes remaining cut it back down to 14 points, 56-42. That was as close as the Bulls would get the rest of the game, eventually falling 74-54 to the RedHawks. Mike McKie (Brooklyn, NY/Tilden) led the Bulls (3-14, 1-7)
with 13 points off the bench and Jon Kleidon had seven rebounds. Anthony Taylor
led Miami (9-7, 5-3) with 17 points and Rob Mestas had 15 points. Buffalo will
