The University at Buffalo men's basketball team suffered their first Mid-Continent Conference loss of the season, dropping an 81-62 decision at Youngstown State on Wednesday (1/14) night. The Bulls fell to 9-6 overall and 5-1 in the conference while the Penguins improved to 11-5 overall and 4-2 in the conference.

The Penguins hit on 57.1% (32-56) of their field goals, including 18-of-30 (60%) in the second half to pull away from the Bulls who shot 43.1% (25-of-58) from the floor. Youngstown State was also hot from behind the arc, knocking down eight of their 15 three-point attempts while UB was good on only three of their 13 shots.

The Bulls were led by senior swingman Rasaun Young with 19 points and four rebounds and senior guard Mike Martinho with 11 poinds and seven assists. Senior Matt Clemens added 10 points and five rebounds for UB. Youngstown State got 26 and 20 points respectively from Anthony Hunt and Willie Spellman.

The Bulls are in action again this Saturday (1/17) at Valparaiso.
