UB Announces Radio and Television DealsBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo has once again reached agreements to have its athletic events broadcast on radio, as UB football will be broadcasted all season long on WGR-550 AM in Buffalo and WHTK-1280 AM in Rochester. Along with the radio broadcasts returns another season of "Bullseye: Inside UB Athletics", which will air live every Thursday at 7 p.m. on WNGS/RTN-11. The show's premiere, however, will air live this Tuesday at 7 p.m. Like last season, all football games will air along with a select number of events from the school’s other athletic programs. The success of football, men's and women's basketball broadcasts brought an unprecedented amount of Bulls action to the UB community at all-time high levels. Howard Simon, part of WGR’s highly-rated morning show, will again call the UB football action live from UB Stadium. Weekend host Brian Koziol will handle color analyst duties. Brendan McDaniels continues in his role as sideline reporter and host of the 30-minute pregame show, which includes pregame analysis from head coach Turner Gill, player interviews and an opponent scouting report. Gill’s comments will also air as part of the postgame show, which will include a game recap with highlights. As another integral part of the athletic events broadcast family, "Bullseye: Inside UB Athletics" is set to premiere another season of insider interviews and in-depth UB player profiles. The show, hosted this year by Jeff Russo, has moved from WNLO/UPN 23 to WNGS/RTN 11 and will air at 7 p.m. on Thursdays except for this Tuesday's live debut. Regular guests on “Bullseye” will include football coach Turner Gill, men’s basketball coach Reggie Witherspoon and women’s basketball coach Linda Hill-MacDonald. Additionally, student-athletes and coaches from the Bulls’ other athletic programs will be featured each week. The show will air live for the first time this season and fans are encouraged to call in with questions.
All Bulls games that air on radio will once again be available to listen to free of charge at www.buffalobulls.com via Teamline. |
