Empire State Games Wrap-Up

Twenty-three UB athletes and coaches medal at 27th annual games

BUFFALO, NY - Several current and former University at Buffalo student-athletes and coaches participated in the 27th annual Empire State Games, held in Binghamton, NY from July 28 through August 1. Numerous UB participants won gold medals, including current assistant women's basketball coach Cheri Euler and junior Brooke Meunier (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) with the Western Open women's basketball team, senior Brenna McJury (Brockport, NY/Brockport) with the Western Open women's soccer team, junior Roy Richards (Rochester, NY/Edison Tech) in the men's open long jump and senior Faith Thompson (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) in the women's open shot put.
