Bullseye Wins Two Telly Awards UB Athletics program honored at 30th Annual Telly Awards
“We are extremely proud that the partnership between UB Athletics and the Center for the Arts is being recognized at a national level,” said Paul Vecchio, Associate Athletic Director and Executive Producer of the Bullseye series. “The work that the CFA has done on these shows has helped raise the profile of UB Athletics through their outstanding creativity and state-of-the-art production values.” Each episode aired at least three times on Time Warner SportsNet and each show has been archived on Buffalobulls.com and can be accessed through the Multimedia Center. The show featured interviews with head coaches and student athletes of each of UB's 20 intercollegiate sports. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and around the world, this year’s 30th anniversary has been one of the most competitive and successful in the long history of the Telly Awards. Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest film and video productions, and groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. This year's winners include companies, agencies and organizations of all sizes, from large multinational media companies to small ad agencies and local production houses. A sample of other current Telly Award winners includes: American Cancer Society, Fox Soccer Channel, Harpo Productions, HBO Latin America, Miami Dolphins, Microsoft, NBC Universal, New York Jets, Nickelodeon, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros. A prestigious judging panel of 350 accomplished industry professionals evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Entries do not compete against each other, and instead are judged against a high standard of merit.
