UB Athletics Renews With Entercom

Two-year agreement keeps Bulls football on WGR and basketball on WWKB-AM

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo Division of Athletics has announced that it will continue its radio relationship with Entercom Radio in Buffalo for its football and basketball programs.

The two sides have signed a two-year deal which keeps Bulls' football on WGR-AM and the UB men's and women's basketball programs on WWKB-AM over that period.

The UB football program - which finished the 2001 season on an upswing with impressive wins over Mid-American Conference rival Ohio (44-0) and at Army (26-19) -will be heard on WGR-AM with Chris Brown again providing play-by-play and Kevin Sylvester adding color commentary.

The entire slate of UB men's basketball games and any post-season contests will again be heard on WWKB 1520, while ten selected women's games and post-season action will also be broadcast.

"We are thrilled to be keeping UB Athletics on our airwaves," said Greg Ried, Vice President and General Manager at Entercom, LLC. "There is no question in our minds that the athletic programs at UB are on an upswing and will continue to become a bigger part of the fabric of the Western New York sports scene. We are excited to be a part of UB's continued growth in Division I-A athletics."
