The UB women's soccer team, under head coach Jean-A. Women's cross country (3.117)
Men's tennis (3.087)
Men's swimming and diving (3.067)
Women's basketball (3.063)
Men's soccer (3.004)

Nine of Buffalo's 18 teams (with indoor and outdoor track counting as one) improved their team grade point average from the 2004 fall semester. The UB wrestling team had the most improved team GPA, followed by men's track and field and men's soccer.

Individually, 213 student-athletes (46.2 percent) were named UB Scholar Athletes for the spring semester by virtue of posting a GPA of 3.0 or better. Over 40 percent of UB's student-athletes have been named UB Scholar Athletes consistently each semester over the past 10 years. Fourteen student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the spring 2005.
