Bullseye Wins Telly Award
“The collaboration between UB Athletics and the Center for the Arts allowed us to take our long-running television show "Bullseye" to a new level - one that really allowed our viewers to feel like they were a part of our teams," said Paul Vecchio, Associate Athletic Director for Communications. "The quality of production, combined with the technology and knowledge that the CFA staff brings, created a product that matched the vision we had to produce a show that appeals to our fans, students as well as potential recruits." Each episode aired at least three times on Time Warner Cable 13 and each show has been archived on Buffalobulls.com and can be accessed through the Multimedia Center. The show featured interviews with head coaches and student athletes of each of UB's 20 intercollegiate sports. Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition and receives over 13,000 entries annually from across 50 states and five continents. This year's winners included companies, agencies and organizations of all sizes. A sample of recent winners includes: Animal Planet / Discovery, Children's Miracle Network, Warner Bros., Miami Dolphins, Ltd., PGA Tour Productions, SCI FI Channel, and the Disneyland Resort. A prestigious judging panel of accomplished industry professionals evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Entries do not compete against each other, but instead are judged against a high standard of merit. |
