HOOF PRINTS
Will return as the Bulls’ starting quarterback after a solid spring...good-sized, smart signal-caller with a strong arm...showed veteran poise at a young age as he earned the starting role as a freshman, the first true freshman to start at QB in UB’s Division I-A era...holds the school record for career completion percentage (60.2)...chose Buffalo for the campus and the players.
SOPHOMORE (2006)
Started the first eight games of the year before a thumb injury ended his season...completed 138 of 231 passes (59.7 percent) for a total of 1,391 yards and six touchdowns...was the last Division I-A starting quarterback in the nation to throw an interception, not throwing a pick until October 7 against Ball State - a span of 131 attempts...was 13-for-24 for 188 yards in the season-opening win over Temple (8/31)...gained 12 yards on eight carries and scored his first career rushing touchdown at Bowling Green (9/9)...had a career-high 41 pass attempts, completing 25, at Northern Illinois (9/16)...threw for a career-best 321 yards against Ball State - marking the first time in four years that a UB quarterback eclipsed the 300-yard plateau in passing....connected for two touchdowns in consecutive weeks against Ball State and Miami (OH) (10/15).
FRESHMAN (2005)
Appeared in 10 games and started the final eight of the season...completed a school-record 60.6 percent of his passes (149-for-246)...His 9.9 yards per completion was also a school record...threw for 1,481 yards and six touchdowns on the season...in his first career start at Western Michigan (10/1) he went 30-for-38 for 288 yards and two touchdowns...the 30 completions tied him for second all-time in school history for completions in a game...he went 18-for-33 for 241 yards and a touchdown at Toledo (10/22)...threw for a season-high 293 yards on 24-for-36 passing and a touchdown against Ohio (10/29)...went 18-for-30 for 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Eastern Michigan (11/19).
HIGH SCHOOL
Accomplished passer who was a third-team All-State selection in New Jersey while setting school records for career passing yardage (5,387) and touchdowns (51)...as a senior completed 62% of his passes for 2,459 yards and 20 touchdowns...led the Rams of Randolph to a 15-6 record and the Iron Hills Conference title over his final two seasons...earned first-team All-County and All-Area honors as a senior and was also a first-team All-Area guard on the basketball team.
