A four-year letterwinner for head coach Frank Payne at Iroquois High School…rushed for 1,660 yards and 26 touchdowns and led the Chiefs to an 8-2 record his senior season…played running back, free safety, and returned kicks…named first-team All-Western New York twice…earned All-State Second Team honors as a senior…set Iroquois school records for single-game rushing yards, single-season rushing yards and touchdowns, and career rushing yards and touchdowns…won two Section VI championships… also competed on the track and \field team…he was also recruited by Colgate, Fordham, Northeastern, and Marist.
