HOOF PRINTS
One of the most experienced players in the Bulls’ secondary...has a great nose for the ball...has played in 32 career games...an Academic All-MAC selection in 2005 and an Academic All-District selection in 2006...chose Buffalo because it filled all of his wants and needs athletically and academically.
JUNIOR (2006)
Appeared in all 12 games, making five starts...led the team and tied for the Mid-American Conference lead in fumble recoveries with four...made 48 total tackles...recorded seven tackles and had one interception in the season-opening victory over Temple (8/31)...named the MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week for his performance against the Owls...registered 11 total tackles, six solo, against Bowling Green (9/9)...made his first fumble recovery of the season against Ohio (10/21)...had six tackles against Boston College (10/28)...registered five solo tackles, two fumble recoveries and a pass break-up and also recorded his first career punt return, for 11 yards, against Kent State (11/4)...had a season-high 12 tackles, including seven solo, against Akron (11/9)...recorded his fourth fumble recovery of the year at Wisconsin (11/18).
SOPHOMORE (2005)
Started eight of the nine games in which he appeared...tied for fourth on the team in tackles with 51...had 27 solo stops...his two interceptions were second on the team...his career-high 13 tackles against Rutgers (9/17) were the most by a UB player all season...had 10 tackles against Akron (10/8)...had one of the Bulls two interceptions of All-American quarterback Omar Jacobs of Bowling Green (10/15)...also forced a fumble against Bowling Green...had nine punt returns for 55 yards and eight kickoff returns for 131 yards.
FRESHMAN (2004)
Played in all 11 games and earned the start against Akron (10/9) and Kent State
(11/6)...totaled 16 tackles on the season...had a season-high three tackles against
Central Florida (10/2) and Akron (10/9)...registered at least one tackle in all but
two games.
HIGH SCHOOL
A second-team (Division II) All-State selection who ran for 1,700 yards and threw
for 1,400 yards while accounting for 37 total touchdowns...also had 50 tackles and
three interceptions on defense for coach Andy Olds...selected to play in the East-West
All-Star game and was a first-team All-Southwest Ohio selection...also an excellent
kick returner...an All-League baseball player as well.
