Rebounded nicely after missing his freshman season with an injury...named to The Sporting News Freshman All-America Team...his two career interceptions came against nationally-ranked Auburn and Boston College...one of three Bulls to play his prep ball at football power DeMatha Catholic...cousin of former UB assistant basketball coach Chris Hawkins...chose UB because “the football program is on the rise and the facilities are great.”
SOPHOMORE (2007)
Appeared in nine games and started seven, missing some action due to an injury…totaled 35 tackles (27 solo) on the season…added four tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception and a team-high six pass breakups…had six tackles, a forced fumble and an interception against Temple (9/8)…had a season-best 11 tackles (9 solo), a tackle for loss, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup against Penn State (9/15)…had five tackles and a pass breakup against both Miami (OH) (11/3) and Bowling Green (11/17)…Added two tackles for loss against Bowling Green.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2006)
Made an immediate impact in the Bulls’ secondary in only his freshman year...played in all 12 games and started 11...ranked fourth on the team with 70 tackles...his 53 solo stops were second on the team...led the team with five pass break-ups...had a season-high 11 tackles (6 solo) at Bowling Green (9/9)...had a tackle for loss and returned an interception for 33 yards at Auburn (9/23)...had five tackles, including two for a loss and a fumble recovery against Miami (OH) (10/15)...had eight tackles, including two for loss and a pass break-up at Ohio...had five tackles and an interception at Boston College...registered nine tackles, including a season-best seven solo stops at Akron...had five solo tackles, including a tackle for loss, a sack a forced fumble and a fumble recovery at Wisconsin (11/18).

HIGH SCHOOL
An honorable mention All-State performer for powerhouse DeMatha Catholic who recorded three interceptions and two fumble recoveries in his senior season...helped the Stags to a 22-1 record in his final two seasons and joins former DeMatha Catholic teammates Gerald Jackson and Jamal Chisam on the Bulls.
