HOOF PRINTS
Strong, athletic receiver who returned to the form of his freshman season in 2006 after an injury forced him to miss the 2005 campaign...had a break-out season in 2004...shared the Blue Helmet Award for top receiver with Matt Knueven in 2004...has great ability to catch the ball in traffic and at its highest point...legendary baseball player Ernie Banks is the cousin of his great-grandmother Louise Banks...chose Buffalo because of the nice campus and a chance to play Division I football.

Appeared in all 12 games and started 10...led the Bulls in receiving yardage
(444) and receiving touchdowns (3)...ranked third in receptions (32)...had three
catches for 68 yards, including a season-long 50-yard reception against Temple
(8/31)...had a career-high eight catches for 104 yards and a touchdown at Northern
Illinois (9/16)...had six catches for 84 yards against Ball State (10/7)...had
three receptions for 20 yards at Boston College (10/28)...had three catches for 43
yards and a score against Kent State (11/4)...caught four balls for 48 yards and a
touchdown against Central Michigan (11/24).
SOPHOMORE (2005)
Missed the entire season with an injury.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2004)
Saw action in all 11 games and started seven...ranked second on the team in
receptions (23), yards (330) and touchdowns (1)...hauled in an 86-yard touchdown pass
in the Bulls’ victory over Central Florida (10/2)...the 86-yard reception was the
longest by a UB player during the Division I-A era...had a season-best 123 yards
receiving against the Golden Knights...had five catches against both Ohio (9/25) and
Akron (10/9)...had three catches for 49 yards in UB’s win over Central Michigan (11/13)
...had at least one reception in all but one game.
FRESHMAN (2003)
Redshirted in his first season at Buffalo.
HIGH SCHOOL
Earned three letters and was a captain once for coach Anthony Knox...a versatile
athlete who played running back, wide receiver and free safety...had 20 receptions for
329 yards and also rushed for 278 yards on 29 carries (9.6 yards per carry) and scored
six touchdowns...voted his team’s Unsung Hero...was invited to play in the I-95 All-Star
game...also an All-County selection in basketball.
