West Chester Holds Off Bulls' RallyBUFFALO, NY - Freshman Scott Keller's 38-yard field goal was wide left as time expired allowing West Chester University to escape with a 30-27 win over the University at Buffalo before 6,508 fans at UB Stadium on Saturday. The Golden Rams (1-3) took a 30-13 lead when Marcellus Simmons picked up a David Hinson fumble and returned it a school-record 90 yards for a touchdown with 12:31 remaining in the game. The Bulls (2-3), however, responded with a furious rally. Buffalo cut the lead to 30-20 with 6:31 left when freshman Reggie Cox scored from seven yards out. Buffalo's Drew Haddad then recovered an onside kick and finished a 75-yard, six-play drive by catching a 10-yard touchdown pass from Chad Salisbury.
West Chester's Thomas Fulton had 136 yards on 31 carries and a touchdown while quarterback Mike Mitros completed 22-of-38 passes for 196 yards. West Chester took advantage of four Buffalo turnovers in the game. Salisbury completed 29-of-46 passes for 418 yards and three touchdowns for the Bulls while both Kali Watkins (10 receptions for 125 yards) and Haddad (nine catches for 143 yards) had over 100 yards in receiving. Ted McDuffie had 11 tackles and an interception while Dan Poulsen added 10 tackles for the Bulls. Linebacker Ben Tonon had nine tackles, a sack and an interception for
