Sanders and Imes Earn Academic All-MAC Honors
Sanders earns the honor for the second straight year
 Aaron Sanders | BUFFALO, NY – Aaron Sanders (Clarence, NY/St. Joseph's) and Jesse Imes (Cincinnati, OH/Kings Mills) were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Football Team, announced on Tuesday. Sanders earned the honor for the second straight season while Imes was named to the team for the first time.
Sanders, a senior defensive end, led the Bulls in sacks with 6.5 and ranked second in tackles for loss with 12.5 to go along with his 43 tackles. He finished his career ranked seventh in school history with 14 career sacks. This is the second straight season that Sanders, a marketing major with a 3.45 grade point average, has earned the honor.
Earlier this year, Sanders was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District football team. The team was made up of 23 players from Division I programs from New England, New York and Pennsylvania. Sanders was also one of three Western New York area college student-athletes honored by the Western New York chapter of the National Football Foundation on Monday night.
 Jesse Imes | Imes, a sophomore defensive back, had a break-out season for the Bulls. Imes finished the year tied for fourth on the squad with 51 tackles and ranked second on the team with two interceptions in only nine games. A pharmacy major, Imes sports a 3.54 grade point average.
