Mills Named To District I Academic TeamBUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo junior offensive tackle Jeff Mills (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) is a member of the 2002 District I Verizon Academic All-American team released today. Mills is part of a 26-man team named today that will advance to the national Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced on December 12. The 6-5, 288-pound tackle was one of
Mills was admitted to UB's nationally-renowned Honors Program upon arriving at Buffalo and is a double major in Math and Economics. He carries a 3.57 grade point average and has been on the Dean's List at Buffalo on multiple occasions. In addition, he has been honored after each semester as a UB scholar-athlete and was also on the 2001 MAC All-Academic team. Mills was a three-year letterman at Coughlin HS and earned second-team All-State honors as a senior. He was the valedictorian of his senior class in high school with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Buffalo has two games left in the 2002 season, at Akron this Saturday and at Ball State on
