Aaron Sanders Named to Academic All-District Team

Senior defensive end earns honor for the second straight season

BUFFALO, NY - Aaron Sanders (Clarence, NY/St. Joseph's) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District football team. The team is made up of 23 players from Division I programs from New England, New York and Pennsylvania. This is the second straight season that the senior defensive end has earned the honor.

Sanders, who has started every game this season, leads the Bulls with 5.5 sacks and ranks second on the squad with 11 tackles for loss. His 13 career sacks rank him seventh in school history. Sanders has racked up 37 tackles, including 24 solo efforts, on the season. He has also added two pass breakups and three quarterback hurries.

A marketing major, Sanders sports a 3.48 grade point average. He will now be placed on the national ballot for a chance at garnering Academic All-America honors.
