BUFFALO, NYDrew Willy was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Co-Player of the Week on Monday. The senior quarterback shared the award with Bowling Green tight end Jimmy Scheidler.

Willy went 10-for-16 for 221 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Bulls' season-opening win over UTEP. He had touchdown passes of 15, 68, 34 and 56 yards. His four touchdown passes were not only a career best, but was a school record for the Division I-A era.

His first completion of the game, a 15-yard touchdown strike to Bryan Kisabeth, gave him the school record for career completions with 546 - surpassing Cliff Scott (1991-94).

It marks the third time in his career that Willy has won the award. He took home the honor twice last season following his performance against Penn State and Kent State.
