Football Caravan Kicks Off Friday Night

Several players to make community appearances; Tony Hawk prize packs raffled off

BUFFALO, NY - The third annual UB Bulls Football Caravan kicks off Friday night, with an appearance at the Buffalo Destroyers home game versus the Carolina Cobras, and continues through next week.

Fans will have an opportunity to meet 2002 Bulls' standouts like tight end Chad Bartoszek (Salamanca, NY/Salamanca), quarterback Randall Secky (Bemus Point, NY/Maple Grove), tailback Marquis Dwarte (Baltimore, MD/Perry Hall), wide receiver Andre Forde (Penfield, NY/Penfield), tight end Marvin Brereton (Mississaugua, Ontario/Clarkson Secondary), strong safety J.J. Gibson (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) and free safety Mark Graham (Monroe, MI/Monroe) at locales around Western New York.

In addition, fans can buy 2002 Buffalo football season tickets and can sign up at each stop for an opportunity to win two tickets to the UB-Connecticut game on Sept. 14th with a special appearance at halftime by skateboarding icon Tony Hawk. Additionally, one lucky fan will win a pair of all-access VIP passes for Tony Hawk's Extreme Zone performance prior to the UB-UConn game.

"These events are a great opportunity for Bulls' fans to meet some of their favorite players in person and find out about all the excitement taking place this season," said John Lambert, UB's Associate Athletic Director for External Relations. "Fans that buy season tickets also receive the same number of free tickets to see Pat Benatar at UB's Rockin' Rally on August 23."
