BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo football head coach Turner Gill is scheduled to throw out the first pitch prior to the Cleveland Indians’ game against the Chicago White Sox at Progressive Field on July 1st.

Gill, a two-sport star while a student-athlete at Nebraska, signed a professional baseball contract out of college with the Cleveland Indians. He spent three seasons in the Indians’ minor league system, reaching AA Williamsport before deciding to return to football as a coach.

Wednesday’s game at Progressive Field is slated to start at 7:05 pm.
