BUFFALO, NY – Second-year head coach Turner Gill has announced that Lee Chambers has been promoted to running backs coach. The job became available when offensive line coach Angus McClure took an assistant coaching job at UCLA and long-time assistant coach Allen Mogridge moved from running backs coach to offensive line coach.

"Lee has a great work ethic and an excellent rapport with our players and he has shown that he can recruit," said Gill.

Chambers spent the 2006 season as a graduate assistant on the defensive side of the ball after coming to Buffalo from Pikeville College where he worked as the defensive line/strength and conditioning coordinator. He was responsible for recruiting and signing student-athletes from North and South Carolina.

Prior to Pikeville, Chambers was at Gardner-Webb University where he spent time as a graduate assistant on the football staff as well as the interim head strength and conditioning coach.

As a player, Chambers played two seasons at Pikeville College before transferring to Gardner-Webb and finishing his career with the Runnin’ Bulldogs. He was a four-year starter at left guard.
