UB Football Signs Californian

Eddie Robinson signs with Bulls from College of the Canyons

BUFFALO, NY - Head football coach Jim Hofher has announced that safety Eddie Robinson (Los Angeles, CA/Reseda HS) will continue his academic and football pursuits at the University at Buffalo this fall.

Robinson is currently attending College of the Canyons in California where he starred last fall on the gridiron, helping his team to an 11-1 record and the Southern California Junior College Championship. The 6-0, 205-pounder has played both tailback and safety in his collegiate career, but projects to be a strong safety with the Bulls. He joins College of the Canyons teammate Brian Miller, a tight end, in this year's recruiting class.

"We are delighted that Eddie is joining our football program," said Hofher. "He is an outstanding prospect at the safety position with size, strength and speed. He is an excellent addition to our team."

At Reseda HS in Los Angeles, Robinson gained over 1,700 yards as a senior and scored 27 touchdowns while serving as team captain twice in his career. A three-year letterwinner, he earned All-Conference and All-League honors as a senior and was twice named MVP of his team. He also excelled in track, earning All-City honors in the 110-meter high hurdles and the triple jump, and basketball, where he started for two years at point guard.
