James Judges Drafted By CFL’s Montreal Alouettes
Judges will be following in the footsteps of his father, Gordon, who played 13 seasons in Montreal from 1968-1982. He was part of three Grey Cup champion teams. Judges will also be following in the footsteps of head coach Turner Gill. The UB mentor played two seasons in Montreal, leading his team to playoff berths in 1984 and 1985. A native of Pickering, Ontario, Judges had the best season of his career in 2006. He started all 12 games and had 27 tackles, including five tackles for loss and three sacks. He added a forced fumble, a fumble recovering and a blocked kick.
Judges and the rest of the UB Bulls will open the 2007 football season on August 30 at Rutgers. The home opener is set for September 22 against Baylor. |
