BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo head football coach Turner Gill and his staff continue to sign players from some of the richest high school recruiting areas in the nation as wide receiver Antavious Wilson (Pahokee, FL/Pahokee) became the 22nd member of the Bulls' class of 2008 to commit to UB.

Wilson helped his team to back-to-back state titles as his team went 28-0 in his final two seasons and the Blue Devils finished the 2007 season ranked 10th nationally in the ESPN High Elite 25 poll.

A first-team All-Area selection as well as a first-team All-State selection, Wilson, 6-2, 182, becomes the Bulls second signee of the 2008 class from Florida and the eighth player from his Blue Devil team to sign a Division I scholarship. Playing for head coach Blaze Thompson, Wilson had over 900 receiving yards as a senior and caught 10 touchdown passes. He has also been an All-Conference selection at point guard in basketball.

“We are excited to get a player of Antavious' ability,” said Gill. “He comes from one of the premier high school programs in the nation and excelled against very strong competition. He has good size and speed, makes plays and has the ability to make someone miss after a catch.”

Wilson, who plans on majoring in Management, calls former Pahokee HS standout and current NFL star Anquan Boldin his greatest athletic influence.
