BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo head football coach Turner Gill has added another member to the Class of 2006 with the addition of linebacker Larry Hutchinson (Seattle, WA/Franklin HS), who will transfer to Buffalo from Compton Community College this summer.

Hutchinson, 6-1, 190, was a first-team All-Conference selection at Compton this past fall while registering an impressive 85 tackles, 13 sacks and three forced fumbles.

Hutchinson becomes the 19th player to sign in Gill's first recruiting class. The day after national signing day (Feb. 2), Rivals.com pronounced the Bulls’ recruiting class as the fourth best in the Mid-American Conference, only the second time since Buffalo moved into the league in 1999 that UB has cracked the top five. Since that time, Buffalo has signed five additional players.

“Larry is a very tenacious football player with excellent speed,” said Gill. “We anticipate him being an impact player in our program.”
