Hall of Famer Mike Singletary Visits Football Practice
Singletary, who is currently the San Francisco 49ers assistant head coach and linebackers coach was a 10-time Pro Bowl linebacker for the Chicago Bears from 1981-1992. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998. “I am very excited to be here and hear all of the wonderful things that are happening,” Singletary said. “Some of the things that I am hearing today are words like compete, fight, character and win. I am very excited to be in the midst of it and I echo those words.” Singletary is impressed with the job third-year head coach Turner Gill is doing. “I think he is a very charismatic guy,” Singletary said. “But more than anything else, I think he is authentic. And that’s really important when you have someone that’s pretty consistent all the way through and that’s the word I hear about Turner is consistency. He’s that way all of the time and that’s pretty exciting.
The Bulls scrimmaged on Saturday afternoon as part of their spring drills. It was the Bulls’ 10th practice of the spring. UB will play its annual Blue-White Scrimmage next Saturday at UB Stadium at 2:30 pm.
