Football Night in Buffalo to Honor WNY Football Past and Present

BUFFALO, NY – A dinner will be held on Thursday April 23 honoring University at Buffalo head coach Turner Gill and celebrating the Buffalo Bills Pioneers of the AFL.

The event is being presented by the Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation and The Monday Quarterback Club and will be held at Lucarelli’s Banquet Center on 1830 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, New York. The night will kick off with cocktails starting at 5:30 p.m. and dinner following at 7:00 p.m.

Coach Gill will be honored after leading the Bulls to their first Mid-American Conference title, their first bowl appearance as well as being a finalist for the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year award.

The host for the evening will be Paul Peck, weekend anchor and reporter for WIVB-TV (Channel 4) Sports Department and “Radio Voice of Buffalo Bulls Football.” The evening’s guest speakers will be Turner Gill, head football coach at UB, Paul Maguire, ESPN College Football Analyst, Larry Felser, retired Buffalo News Sports Editor and Eddie Abramoski, former Bills’ athletic trainer.

All proceeds will be donated to the Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation and UB Athletics. Tickets are $50 per person and $450 for tables of 10. All paid tickets will be held at the door, unless other arrangements are made. Purchased tickets will be acknowledged by e-mail or telephone.
