Goss, an eight-year veteran of the National Football League who was part of two Super Bowl Championship teams with the San Francisco 49ers, comes to Buffalo from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, where he was the linebacker and special teams coach last season.

Goss has spent the past three years coaching in and around the Durham/Chapel Hill area after earning his degree in Sociology at the University of North Carolina in 1989, where he starred on the football team as a linebacker.

Goss went on to spend seven years with the San Francisco 49ers, playing with future Hall of Famers like Jerry Rice and Joe Montana and being part of two Super Bowl Champion teams. Goss was a backup linebacker and also served as captain of special teams during his tenure with the 49ers. After leaving San Francisco, he played one season with the St. Louis Rams, in 1996, where he started five games and again led the special teams unit.

His first coaching job was as linebacker and strength and conditioning coach at East Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, NC, where he served from 1998-2000.

Peal comes to Buffalo after spending 12 years as the head strength coach at The Citadel in Charleston, SC from 1988-99. He was voted the 1995 Southern Conference Professional of the Year while at The Citadel.

Previous to joining The Citadel staff, Peal spent one year as the assistant strength coach at Kansas State (1987-88) where he worked with the basketball program that advanced to the Final Eight that season. Peal also spent two years as a graduate assistant strength coach at the University of Tennessee (1985-86) and one year at the University of Evansville (1984).

Peal, a native of Shadyside, OH, is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Miami University in 1983. He went on to earn his master's degree at the University of Tennessee.
