BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo head football coach Turner Gill announced modifications to his coaching staff today.

Ryan Groneman, who has served as assistant strength coach for the past three seasons, has been elevated to head strength coach. Groneman will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the new 6,000 square foot Robert and Carol Morris Sports Performance Center adjacent to UB Stadium.

“Ryan has done an excellent job working with our football program and knows our players and the plan we have in place for them very well,” said Gill. “He will do a great job in helping us develop our players.”

Gill also noted the departure of two staff members. Gerald Carr, who served as UB’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, will not have his contract renewed, while offensive gradaute assistant Kevin Lynch has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

“We wish both Gerald and Kevin the best and appreciate the contributions they have made to our program,” said Gill.
