Dees has spent the past two seasons as offensive line coach at Stony Brook and has spent the past six years coaching in and around the New York City/Long Island area. Prior to assuming his position at Stony Brook, Dees spent one season coaching tight ends at Wagner and three years as the offensive and defensive line coach at St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip on Long Island.

This past summer he served as a Minority Fellowship Coaching Intern with the Buffalo Bills, working with the offensive live in daily activities.

Dees had an outstanding collegiate career at Syracuse University from 1987-91, helping the Orangemen to a 35-12-2 record and four straight bowl appearances. Dees was a four-year starter for the Orange, spending the first three as a tight end and his final year as a tackle while also serving as a team captain.

He was a Sporting News Pre-Season All-American in 1990 as a tight end and following his collegiate career, spent the 1992 season with the Cincinnati Bengals and the 1993 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks.

Dees earned his BS in Child and Family Studies at Syracuse and is currently finishing work on his Master's of Special Education at Wagner College. He is a member of the American Football Coaches of America.
