Buffalo fairs well in CanadaBuffalo raced at the Western Ontario Invite this past weekend. Temperatures were high and the 10K course was slow, but the Buffalo Men's team was able to put together a respectable showing placing sixth against very tough Canadian oppositions. This week, only five runners would travel to the meet. Not racing this week were Freshmen harriers Chris Angier and John Fritts who were able to get some much needed rest. The top scorer for Buffalo was Pat Nolan. He finished in an All-Meet performance by taking fourth place. So far, his best race of the season.
The Women's team would fair better at the same meet. They finished second behind a very talented Western Ontario team. This week the women really focused on running as a team. This team running packed up six women within 30 seconds of each other at the finish. Leading the way was Marie Macander who placed ninth overall, earning All-Meet performer. She continues to be Buffalo most consistent harrier.
Next week both teams will race at the Notre Dame Invite in South Bend, Indiana. |
