Cross Country Weekly ReportUB Competes Against International Talent The Bulls traveled to Ontario to take part in the 25th Annual Western International Cross Country Invitational at Thames Valley Golf Course with several Canadian teams. The women placed third (93 points) out of 12 teams while the men finished fourth (131 points) out of a field of 12. Senior Casey Spencer (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post West) crossed the line first for UB at 18:57 for a tenth-place overall finish in the women's 5,000 meter race. Junior Eileen Rose (Latham, NY/Shaler) finished closely behind Spencer in 12th place (19:02). Junior Tony David (Lima, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) was UB's top male finisher in the 10k race. He placed sixth overall with a time of 32:37. Buffalo Hits the Road The Bulls won't return to the confines of their home course until October 16, when they host their final meet of the 1999 season as the run against McMaster, Niagara, and Guelph. Coach Dick Barry's team travels to Chicago, IL, to participate in the Lakefront Invitational next weekend (10/2). ·The Week Past· ·The Week Ahead· |
