BOSTON, MA – The University at Buffalo’s men’s and women’s cross country teams completed the season with Saturday’s NCAA Northeast Regional Championships held in Boston’s Franklin Park. The UB women finished 16th in the team competition among 36 squads with 470 total points. UB’s men placed 20th overall with 523 points in the 33-team field. Providence’s women (49) and Iona’s men (58) were the team victors among the Division I entries. Individually, UB junior Jenny Koeppel (Amherst, NY/Amherst) was the top finisher. Koeppel, a MAC second-team honoree and Academic All-MAC selection earlier in the week, completed the 6K women’s course in 21:57 to take 21st place among 245 runners.
