Bulls Race to Second at Albany Invite

Ludden leads UB men's squad with fourth-place individual finish

ALBANY, NY - The University at Buffalo's men's cross country squad raced to a second-place finish Saturday at the 35th Annual Albany Cross Country Invitational. The Bulls scored 47 points, falling just short of host Albany's 37 in the team competition. Twenty teams from throughout New York State scored at the meet.

Individually, UB's Todd Ludden (Hornell, NY/Hornell) led the Bulls taking fourth place in 25:38.88 among the 191 runners entered along the eight-kilometer course. Joining Ludden near the front of the pack, were juniors Rick Stewart (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) and Jerimie Slick (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena). Stewart placed sixth in 25:40.14 while Slick was seventh in 25:56.47.

The Bulls are off until October 27, when they travel to Eastern Michigan for the Mid-American Conference Championships.
