Slick Wins LaSalle Invite Individual TitlePHILADELPHIA, PA - The University at Buffalo's men's and women's cross country teams were in action Saturday afternoon at the LaSalle Invitational. UB's men's squad placed sixth among 10 teams with 163 total points. UB's women took fifth place among eight entries, tallying 122 points. Pennsylvania (37) and Cornell (20) won the men's and women's team titles, respectively.
In the women's race, contested at 6K, freshman Kate Kohout (Clarence, NY/Clarence) was UB's top finisher, taking 24th place in 19:54.29. Sophomore Jenny Koeppel (Amherst, NY/Amherst) took 26th place in 19:55.89. Cornell's Carlan Gray won the individual title in 18:25.76 as Cornell runners took seven of the top 10 spots to seal the team title. UB returns home to host the UB Open on Saturday, October 12. Race time is slated for Noon. |
