Bulls Place Fifth at St. John Fisher
ROCHESTER, NY - The University at Buffalo men's cross country team placed fifth in an eleven team field Saturday at the 2000 Cardinal Classic held at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.
The Bulls scored 117 team points to place behind chamption Houghton College who totaled 33. Oswego State (62), Alfred University (102) and Buffalo State College (105) also finished ahead of the Bulls.
UB's top runner was Mike Commisso (Fulton, NY/Fulton) who finished the 8K course in 29:15. Onile White (Bronx, NY/Dewitt Clinton) was 21st in 30:04. Houghton's Patrick Weaver took individual honors crossing the finish line first in 27:36.
The Bulls' women's squad did not compete in the Cardinal Classic. Both UB teams will be in action
again next Saturday when they travel to Chicago for the Lakefront Invitational.
