Buffalo Announces Crew Signings
BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo crew coach Rudy Wieler has announced his 2004 recruiting class by signing nine women to National Letters of Intent. The nine athletes will be enrolled at UB starting with the 2004-05 academic year.
The following individuals were signed by Wieler: Sheralyn Briggs (St. Catharines, Ontario/West Park), Crystal Byrnes (Ballston Spa, NY/Saratoga Springs), Nicole Cyr (Groton, NY/Dryden), Margaret Devendorf (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool), Maggie Fairgrieve (Fort Erie, Ontario/Lakeshore Catholic), Hattie Henry (St. Catharines, Ontario/Holy Cross), Jessica Hughes (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool), Mia Pavletic (Grand Rapids, MI/Forest Hills Central), and Jackie Stone (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham).
The Bulls completed their 2003-04 season with a sixth-place finish at the Metro Cup, which
included nine of the top Division I women's crew programs in the Northeast.
