Prospective Student-Athlete Checklist

  1. Contact the coaches that you're interested in competing in intercollegiate athletics at UB. Fill out the University at Buffalo Recruiting Questionnaire.

You can also find all UB Coaches' contact information by visiting the Athletic Directory

  2. Send a copy of your game and/or highlight film to the coach. Be sure to clearly label the tape/DVD. If you have a website with online video, email the coach the link to your site.

  3. After your junior year of high school, register with the NCAA Eligibility Center-be sure to save your Eligibility Center ID number and PIN so you can log on later.

Do you have the 16 core courses and corresponding SAT/ACT and grade point average you need? Not sure? Go see your high school guidance counselor. Use the Sliding Scale and the Division 1 16 Core Courses document as a guide.

**You'll also be asked to answer a series of Amateurism questions-don't skip these as you cannot be certified until this is complete.

    Visit the NCAA Eligibility Center

  4. Take the SAT and/or ACT during your junior year or senior year of high school. Enter 9999 for a school code on either exam, and your scores will automatically go the NCAA Eligibility Center.
