Leo Dandes Signs National Letter of Intent to Attend BuffaloBUFFALO, NY Leo Dandes (East Amherst, NY/Nichols) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University at Buffalo and participate on the baseball team, according to head coach Bill Breene. Dandes was a four-year starter and two-year team captain at Nichols High School. As a senior, he hit .458 with a .667 on-base percentage and a .625 slugging percentage. He also drove in 10 runs and scored 13 times. Well disciplined at the plate, Dandes struck out only three times all season. An Advanced Placement Scholar Athlete, Dandes was named the team Most Valuable Player three times and was named first-team All-Niagara Frontier League as a junior. Dandes also had a successful career on the gridiron as he was twice named first-team Monsignor Martin as a running back. Dandes earned the Alumni Cup as Nichols' outstanding senior scholar-athlete.
