Two Bulls Named To All-MAC Baseball Team
Folli becomes the first UB player to be named to the All-MAC First Team, as well as the first player to be found on a postseason team more than once. Folli was a second-team All-MAC selection following his freshman season. Folli finished eighth in the league in batting with a team-high .346 batting average. That average shot up to .360 in conference games only as Folli often started any UB threat as he batted in the leadoff spot. Folli also led the team with 65 hits and was tied for the team lead with 13 doubles and 12 stolen bases. This summer Folli will play for the Outer Banks Daredevils in the Coastal Plains League.
Radanovic spent just one season with UB after transferring from Niagara, but had an outstanding year including a flawless record during MAC play, where he went 3-0 with six no decisions. For the season, Radanovic had a 3-2 record with seven no decisions and led the Bulls in innings pitched (80.2) and strikeouts (62). His 3.68 ERA was also tops on the pitching staff for anyone making at least three appearances on the year. Radanovic’s 3.22 ERA in conference games only was the eighth best total in the MAC. In his final start of the season, Radanovic threw 138 pitches as he picked up a no decision against Kent State. Radanovic picked up wins at Toledo and Ohio and had a home victory against Akron. Folli and Radanovic helped UB to its best conference finish since joining the Mid-American Conference. The Bulls finished with 11 conference wins, five more than their previous best, and a seventh place finish in the MAC. UB finished the season just shy of making its first ever MAC Tournament. |
