Bulls Fall To Niagara, 12-2

NIAGARA FALLS, NY – The University at Buffalo baseball team fell into an early 10-0 hole as it lost, 12-2 to Niagara, Tuesday evening at Sal Maglie Stadium. The loss drops UB’s record to 10-28 on the year.

Niagara was able to score 10 unanswered runs before the Bulls scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning as UB recorded two bases loaded walks for its runs. The Purple Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth as neither team scored in the final three innings of play.

Junior Tony Fuller (Rochester, NY/Penfield) and William Sonnie (Chesterland, OH/West Geauga) both drew the bases loaded walks and accounted for the two UB RBIs.

The Bulls used the mid-week game to their advantage as 17 different players all saw action in the game.

UB returns to action tomorrow as they host a doubleheader against Canisius beginning at 3:00 pm.
