The Bulls won the first game with a final inning rally to win 5-4. The Dolphins came back to take the second game 10-1. In the opener, LeMoyne jumped out early on UB starter Jeff Robertson (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West), scoring two runs in the first and one in the second for a 3-0 lead. UB responded in the bottom of the second with a run of their own as Bryan Sanchez (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) hit a solo home run to rightcenter, his seventh home run of the season. In the fifth, UB came back to tie the game with a two out rally. Adrian Daniels (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) drew a walk and Mike Flaherty (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) hit a two-run home run to rightcenter and knotting the game at 3-3. Each team would score a single run in their half of the sixth. LeMoyne got an RBI single from Brett Woodcock and the Bulls answered with and RBI single from Rick Mariano (Williamsville, NY/St. Joe's), making the game 4-4 going into the last inning. UB reliever Kyle Swiatocha (Forest Hills, NY/Holy Cross) got out of a jam in the top half of the inning, striking out the final batter with the go-ahead run on third as he would pick up his first win of the season. The Bulls then led off the bottom half of the inning with a base hit and then a sacrifice bunt moved the runner to second. With one out, Mike Flaherty knocked in the winning run with a base hit to right field to give the Bulls the 5-4 win. Flaherty went 2-for-4 with one run and three RBIs in the game. The second game saw the Dolphins come out of the gate quickly and never look back. The Dolphins scored single runs in the first and second innings. In the third inning, Mike Volkmar hit a three-run homer to extend the lead to 5-0. UB scored its only run of the game in the bottom of the third as Mark Vogel (West Seneca, NY/Bishop Timon) scored on a ground out. The Dolphins then added four runs in the fourth, the big blow coming off the bat of Steve Edwardson, who hit a two-run homer into the right field bleachers. LeMoyne would add another run in the fifth for the 10-1 win. UB is now 10-27 on the season and will play a four-game series this weekend
