Bulls Out Hit Zips in Opening Loss Designated hitter Chris Ciesla goes 3-for-4 AKRON, OH – The University at Buffalo baseball team fell to Akron, 7-1 on Friday afternoon in game one of a conference weekend series. The Bulls were unable to overcome the Zips’ seven unanswered runs after the Bulls started out with the lead in the top of the first.
In the remaining innings, the Zips scored seven unanswered runs despite the Bulls out hitting the Zips, 11-10. Starter Pierre Miville-Deschenes (4-4) recorded the Bulls’ loss in 5.2 innings of work. Designated hitter Chris Ciesla went 3-for-4 while second baseman Brian Randazzo went 2-for-3 with a walk. The Bulls (15-24, 3-12 MAC) will face the Zips in game two of the three-game conference weekend series on Saturday, April 25 with the first pitch set for 1:00 pm.
