Buffalo Falls to Ohio
ATHENS, OH - Ohio starting pitcher Chris Bova held Buffalo to one run on one hit as the Bobcats defeated the Bulls, 8-1, on Friday night at Bob Wren Stadium. The Bulls' lone hit was a single by Chris McGraw (Summerville, SC/Stratford). UB scored its run in the top of the seventh inning when Joe Mihalics (Tonawanda, NY/Timon/St. Jude) scored on an RBI ground out by James Kingsley (Medina, NY/Medina). It was Kingsley's team-best 24th RBI of the year. Anthony Gressick led Ohio with two home runs and drove in three. Matt Geiger and Ryan White each drove in a pair of runs for the Bobcats. UB starter Eric Kelly (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) was charged with the loss after allowing six runs over five innings. The Bulls and Bobcats will continue their three-game series on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm
at Bob Wren Stadium. |
