BUFFALO, NY - For the first time in program history, the University at Buffalo baseball team will be broadcast on local radio, with Tuesday's Big 4 clash at Niagara set for live broadcast on WLVL-AM 1340. The game, played at Sal Maglie Stadium in Niagara Falls, is set to start at 4:00 pm.

The broadcast, which can also be accessed online through the baseball main page on BuffaloBulls.com by clicking on the Teamline link, will feature play-by-play by University at Buffalo assistant athletic director for communications Paul Vecchio and feature color commentary by athletic communications graduate assistant Joe Guistina. Vecchio has appeared on multiple radio broadcasts for the Bulls in the past 10 years, including serving as a women's basketball analyst and offering play-by-play accounts for wrestling and men's soccer this season. Guistina, a three-time letterwinner as a pitcher at Division III Susquehanna University, will offer color commentary.

Buffalo (5-20 overall) is facing off against Niagara (12-13 overall) for the first time this year after the two teams split four meetings last year. Buffalo is led by sophomore Mike Folli (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott), who is on the 2005 Wallace Watch and was a 2004 Freshman All-American. He has come on lately to raise his average to .326 with a team-high eight doubles. Senior Carl Aquila (Alden, NY/St. Mary's/Erie CC) is second on the team with a .289 average and five doubles. Junior Dan Quinn (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) leads the team with four homers and 15 RBIs.

The Purple Eagles are led by senior Jeff Vincent, who has a .346 average and 21 stolen bases. Senior Mike Alati has posted a .330 average to go along with his team-high nine doubles and 20 RBIs.

The Bulls will have one more broadcast live on WLVL, when they host Bowling Green on Sunday, May 14 at 1:00 pm.
