SYRACUSE, NY - Buffalo dropped both games of a doubleheader to Le Moyne at Dick Rockwell Field on Tuesday afternoon. Despite hitting three home runs, the Bulls fell in a slugfest in game one, 13-12. UB was held to three hits in game two and lost, 5-1.

In game one, the Bulls fell behind, 7-1, through two innings. The Bulls tied the game with a six-run fourth inning. The key blow was a grand slam off the bat of Brian Zelasko (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park). It was the first home run of Zelasko's career. Two batters later, Joe Mihalics (Tonawanda, NY/Timon/St. Jude) hit a solo home run. A two-run single by Al Barbato (Utica, NY/Whitesboro), in the top of the fifth inning, gave the Bulls a 9-7 lead. The Bulls tacked on three more runs in the top of the sixth compliments of a two-run homer by Chris McGraw (Summerville, SC/Stratford) and an RBI double by Zelasko. However, the Dolphins hit two home runs en route to a six-run sixth inning to pull ahead and win the game, 13-12.

Sean McWilliams (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) was charged with the loss after allowing six runs over 4.2 innings of relief. He did tally five strikeouts.

The Bulls' bats were silenced in game two as they were held to only one run on three hits. Buffalo fell behind 5-0 before getting on the board in the seventh inning when Steve Legrett (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) singled up the middle to score McGraw. The Bulls' two other hits came from McGraw and Andrew Wengert (Utica, NY/Proctor). Mihalics went 0-for-3 in the game to have his 14-game hitting streak snapped.

Eric Kelly (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) was the losing pitcher after allowing four runs on five hits over four innings.

The losses dropped the Bulls to 5-15 on the season. Le Moyne improved to 9-11 on the year. The Bulls will next face Akron on Friday afternoon at Amherst Audubon Field as they start Mid-American Conference play.
