Bulls Get Swept By Central Michigan The University at Buffalo baseball team was hoping for better results during its conference-opening weekend, but the Bulls dropped all three contests to Central Michigan. After falling in the opener, 3-0, UB had a shot in the second game, but after taking a 6-2 lead, UB gave up nine unanswered runs. CMU completed the sweep with a 10-0 victory on Sunday. UB is still looking for its first victory since Feb. 17. Home Sweet Home After playing the first 16 games on the road, UB will finally host a game at Amherst Audubon Field. The Bulls play host to five games this week, including a non-conference doubleheader with Le Moyne College. The Bulls then welcome in Eastern Michigan this weekend. Nine of UB’s next 13 games will be at home. No Free Pass Senior Adam Ruszkowski (Utica, NY/Proctor) has shown excellent control on the mound so far this season. In 24.0 innings he has walked just one batter, while striking out 12 in the 94 batters he has faced this year. Through four starts, Ruszkowski leads the team in innings pitched and has the fewest walks allowed by a starter.
Folli Still Leading The Way Junior Mike Folli (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) continues to lead the team with a .333 batting average. Folli is just one of two players to start all 16 games for the Bulls so far. Folli leads the team with 21 hits and eight stolen bases.
Newcomers Making An Impact Junior college transfer Nick Walczak (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) is currently second on the team with a .261 batting average. His six doubles currently lead the squad. Also coming on as of late is Adam Skoniczeki (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) who has his average up to .222. He is currently a perfect four-of-four on the base paths. On Deck
