UB Baseball Falls to Holy CrossHOMESTEAD, FL - The UB baseball team suffered another case of leaving runners stranded on base in a 10-1 loss to Holy Cross. The Bulls left 15 runners on base, the second game in a row they have left more than 10 on base. Bulls starter Tom Janakowski (Depew, NY/Lancaster) took the loss and fell to 1-1 on the season. Janakowski picked up the season opening win last Friday night. The one UB hitter who did well on the day was catcher Mark Vogel (West Seneca, NY/Bishop Timon), who collected two hits and walked twice. Brian Zelasko (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) knocked in the Bulls only run with an RBI double. Buffalo, now 2-4 on the season, will take Wednesday off before facing
Pittsburgh on Thursday night at 7 pm. |
