Athletes of the Week - 12/31/2007
Calvin
Betts (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) of the men's
basketball team had career bests of 16 points and 12 rebounds against
UNC Asheville on Saturday. The sophomore guard scored all 16 of his
points in the second half and overtime. He added an assist, two steals
and a blocked shot against the Bulldogs. Betts is averaging 6.8 points
and 5.1 rebounds on the season.
Heather
Turner (West Seneca, NY/Mount Mercy Academy) of the
women's basketball team had a team-high 18 points against Southeast
Missouri State on Saturday. Turner moved into fifth place on UB's
all-time scoring lists and fourth in career rebounds during the game.
Turner is averaging 11.5 points and 8.5 rebounds on the season.
