Athletes of the Week - 12/06/1999
Damien Foster (Buffalo, NY/Boston College) led the men's basketball team to a 75-71 win over Manhattan College with a career-high 28 points. Foster was 10 of 16 shooting from the field and three of five from three-point land.
Udo Okeke (Seattle, WA/Lagos) led the indoor women's track
squad to a first-place finish (227 pts.) at the Colgate Invitational as she
placed first in the 800 meters (2:12.12) and set new UB and Colgate Fieldhouse
records. In the process, she managed to qualify for the ECAC and MAC meets in
that event. She was also a member of the victorious, Buffalo record-setting
4x400 meter relay team (3:55.80).
